What is KILOGEAR?

KILOGEAR is a family of weighted performance products and gear. The science behind adding load to the body is real. KILOGEAR’s patent pending weight system allows a person to add incremental loads to the body for both training and weight loss purposes. Weight loss results will vary everyone. Every person’s metabolism and make up is different. However, we know that the harder the body works, the more calories the body will burn. The art is getting the body to burn fat and burn calories more efficiently. By eating healthy and moving as much as possible, you will see better results.

How Do I wash KILOGEAR?

KILOGEAR will last if you pay attention and stick to the following rules. If you do, you and your KILOGEAR will have a long and happy life together.

  • Remove the weights and set aside for washing
  • Machine wash the garments inside out, with similar color garments and in cold water
  • DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER
  • Air dry garments like in the old days – (no machine dry)
  • Spot clean weights with a cloth, a little soap and water
  • The weights have an oil cover to keep them shiny. If they sweat, just wipe them down.

Avoid:

  • Avoid washing garments with denim and other garments with zippers or velcro.
  • Avoid washing KILOGEAR with hoodies and towels
  • Avoid using fabric softener. It inhibits the fabric.
  • Avoid washing the weights in the washing machine!

What kind of results will I get?

We kind of already said this above, but it is important that everyone understand that weight loss and calorie burning will vary. Typical loss is 1 pound per week. Results ultimately will vary depending on diet, exercise and amount of weight and time wearing KILOGEAR. Our tests were organized and administered by experts and certified third party entities. The participants were not compensated for any of the testing and wore our tops and bottoms. We filmed all the testing and will continue to test our products on real people so we can share the real results.

How do we sell the weights?

KILOGEAR sells everything as complete sets (weights in combination with garments). Due to high demand, all individual weight orders are subject to ship after complete sets/orders are shipped out.

Current customers are prioritized over any new individual weight order. Please contact us at info@kilogear.com with any questions or if you are a returning customer purchasing new weights.

What are the weights made from?

KILOGEAR weights are made from a non-toxic steel conglomerate and encapsulated in plastic and rubber.

What are the weight sizes?

Weights in inches and pound:

Steady Weight (2×3) = .25 lb each

Strong  Weight (2×6) = .50 lb each

How much weight should I use?

It depends on what type of activities you are performing. KILOGEAR is meant to be worn during the day or during your workouts. We recommend starting at the lowest level and adding weight over time and as you become comfortable wearing KILOGEAR. The incremental weighting system allows you to get the more out of your daily or training activities by requiring your body to work slightly harder when executing tasks. This slight and incremental load over time and during exercises has a greater impact than wearing a significant amount of weight during a short period of time.

Is it easy to load and unload the KILOGEAR weights from my KILOGEAR garments?

Adding and removing weight to and from KILOGEAR is easy. Individual weights can be removed by turning the garment inside out, opening the KILOGEAR pocket and pulling the weight out. To insert, simply slide the weight back into the pocket.

Allergies:

Any fiber can cause allergic reactions. However, people tend to be more allergic to the finishing resins used in synthetic fib er production to render them waterproof. As such, neither nylon nor polyester  is more allergy-inducing than the other. Concerning their use in carpets and other home goods, since nylon and polyester are manufactured fibers, they tend to repel typical allergens. This makes them more hypo-allergenic.

Care:

Both nylon and polyester are easy to wash and are mildew resistant. Both can be washed in a washing  machine and dried on a low heat cycle, but preferably you hang dry them. Nylon cannot be dry-cleaned as the solvents  melt  the material.

Will the weights bounce or jump?

KILOGEAR's patent pending designs limits bounce. The design also provides for full body flexibility and movements on both the vertical and horizontal plane. In addition to the design and compression, we added an internal “lip” or cover with every pocket. Once you insert the weight, you pull over the tight little cover to keep the weight secure in the pocket.

Can I wear KILOGEAR under a shirt or blouse?

Sure Thing! KILOGEAR's fabrics and design make it comfortable to wear during the day. The thin and nimble weight system make KILOGEAR nearly undetectable.

What is the difference between KILOGEAR weights and other weights?

Sand based weights are filled with sand or stones. These antiquated systems are bulky, ugly and not long lasting. Sand is not flexible, nor does it mold to the body. Steel based products are either made from steel or powder coated iron or other hard metals.. These products are hard against the body, do not flex or mold to the body.
